The Park Theater launches new podcast “The Park Presents”

On Monday, June 20, the Park Theater in Glens Falls presented their new podcast, The park hasnow available on Anchor and Spotify.

The park has, hosted by Park Theater Foundation Executive Director Chris Ristau, will introduce audiences to performers from the theatre’s upcoming free summer concert series. The series held its first season in 2021 and returns this year to the Crandall Park Bandshell every Friday night in July.

The podcast will let the public know about artists coming to Crandall Park ahead of their scheduled performances. Listeners will have the chance to hear about musical inspirations, future projects and more. During the months of June and July, episodes will feature 5 local bands: Let’s Be Dead, Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Josh Morris Band, Hartley’s Encore and Chestnut Grove.

The latest episode released on June 27 invites Let’s Be Dead (formerly Let’s Be Leonard) to the show. The band are set to play a Grateful Dead set in the next series of concerts. The podcast also includes intro music by Trevor Tunison and Nyna Nelson of Fort Vine. Audiences can listen to his music during the Park Theatre’s 2022-2023 Live and Local series.

Established in 2021, the Park Theater Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the community with quality, affordable entertainment and educational opportunities with their programming. Featuring concerts, movies, comedy and more, the new podcast is the latest addition to the Park Theater entertainment lineup.

Located in downtown Glens Falls, the Park Theater hosts a variety of events, including their September-May season, which sees many local and international performers in the spotlight. The episode schedule for this new podcast is available below:
