Johnstown Symphony Orchestra Relocates Operations | WTAJ

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) – Johnstown Symphony Orchestra (JSO) business operations are moving to downtown Johnstown.

Previously located in Richland, JSO’s retail and ticketing operations are moving to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority at 416 Main Street following the signing of a lease on June 1.

The move is part of the orchestra’s strategic shift to expand to neighborhoods in the region. The JSO’s home of performance has been the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center for 31 years and will remain at that location.

The JSO joins nonprofits Cambria Regional Chamber, Vision Together 2025, Visit Johnstown and Junior Achievement in the redeveloped Main Street space. 416 Main Street was once the Embassy Theater but has undergone a complete renovation by the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority.

Melissa Komar, Executive Director of the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, said, “We are thrilled to see another key organization in the area moving its business operations downtown! It will be amazing to have the JSO with us on Main Street, and we look forward to all opportunities for collaborative service together.

The JSO box office will be located on the second floor with public access via the stairs to the left of the Main Street entrance. An elevator will also be accessible in the alley.
